Self-disclosure is defined as the process of expressing one's feelings and thoughts about oneself to others. It now extensively studied by social clinical psychologists interested in self-disclosure, interpersonal communication close relationships. Questions why people self-disclose have led significant research theory generation over years. Little attention has been paid, however, potential biological underpinnings this complex behavior.
